This memoir recounts a couple’s sixteen-year journey with Alzheimer’s in hopes of assisting others with expanding their own skills and compassion in caring for individuals living with dementia.

Through a collection of stories drawn from her years with Doug, Donna highlights the patterns of dementia caregiving and shapes them into universal themes — nuggets that enable us to expand our compassion and care.

Not intended to be a how-to manual, the book is meant to fuel the conversation and raise awareness of how we view and respond to dementia in our relational circles and cultural communities.
